Amman – A slight rise in temperatures is expected today, Saturday, with relatively cold weather in most regions and relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate southeasterly, occasionally active, and may stir dust, especially in desert areas.

Late at night, eastern parts of the kingdom, as well as parts of the central and northern regions, are expected to be affected by a state of atmospheric instability. Cloud cover will increase at various altitudes in these areas, accompanied by scattered showers that may become heavy at times, with thunderstorms and hail, potentially leading to flash floods, especially in the eastern regions. Winds will be light southeasterly.
The Meteorological Department warns of the risk of flash floods late at night in the eastern, central, and northern regions of the kingdom, as well as reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in desert areas.
On Sunday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, with cold weather prevailing in most regions and relatively cold conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Scattered showers will remain possible in the morning, particularly in the eastern and northern parts of the country. These showers may be heavy for a short period in the eastern regions and could be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, occasionally active and stirring dust, especially in desert areas.
On Monday, temperatures will rise slightly, with cold weather continuing in most regions and relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some clouds will appear at different altitudes, and winds will be moderate southwesterly.
On Tuesday, another slight rise in temperatures is expected, with temperatures likely to be slightly above the seasonal average. The weather will be relatively cold in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with high-altitude clouds appearing. Winds will be moderate southeasterly.
