AMMAN — Analyzing computer simulation data
that forecasts weather shows that Jordan and the rest of the
Eastern Mediterranean countries will be affected at the end of this week by a new
depression, classified as second-class (according to the indicator measuring
the intensity of air depressions), which will push a mass of cool and humid air
over the country, Arabia Weather reported.

It said that the expected depression promises to be
an excellent start of the rainy season.
Starting Wednesday, a warm air mass originating from
Africa will gradually move toward Europe, extending over large parts of the
continent’s southwest and central regions, and pushing temperatures up
significantly.
This will coincide with the rush of a cold air mass
to the east and southeast of
Europe and the Balkan Peninsula. As a result, a
depression is expected to form in the eastern region of the Mediterranean that
will affect the Kingdom on Friday and Saturday.
The depression will bring about a sharp decrease in
temperatures, and clouds that will gradually build up at different altitudes.
Rain is expected in many areas, accompanied by
occasional hail storms over the highlands and desert areas, in the southern and
eastern parts of the Kingdom.
