AMMAN — Another cold front is predicted
to hit the Kingdom early next week, bringing rain and chilly weather, according
to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The department forecasted that the
downpours will begin on Saturday and continue through Monday, while the peak of
the weather depression will impact the northern and central regions of Jordan
on Sunday, Addustour daily reported.
In Amman, temperatures are expected to drop
to nine degrees Celsius, four degrees below average temperatures for this time
of year.
Recent rainfallOver the past few days, a weather
depression originating in central Europe impacted Jordan, bringing rainfall
across the Kingdom and raising seasonal precipitation to 84 percent of the
annual average.
The rains also channeled waters into the
Kingdom’s dams, bringing their storage volume to 40.5 percent of their total
capacity of 280.7 million cubic meters, according to the Ministry of Water and
Irrigation.
