AMMAN — A cold front accompanied by a
weather depression is expected to hit the Kingdom today, pushing temperatures
down and bringing relatively cold weather in most regions, according to the
Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds are forecast to form at low
altitudes, while brisk
north-westerly winds are predicted, with strong gusts
reaching 60 km/h in some areas and blowing dust in the Badias.
Temperature dropA tangible drop in mercury levels is
predicted on Thursday, to eight or nine degrees below the annual average. The
cold and cloudy weather will prevail, with a chance for light showers in the
morning over the northern region.
On Friday,
cold temperatures will persist
in the highlands and the plains, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and
Aqaba will witness moderate temperatures with low clouds.
