AMMAN--The cold air mass that affected the Kingdom will deepen, on Friday, bringing rain showers, brisk winds and low altitude clouds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Light snow is also expected in mountainous areas that are 1,100 meters above sea level, the department said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The weather department warned of heavy winds with speeds reaching 80 kilometers per hour, slippery roads, low-visibility due to low-altitude clouds and the possibility of torrent formation in the northern and central parts of the country.
The temperatures in capital Amman are forecast to reach a high of 6 degrees Celsius and a low of 2 degrees at night.
In the port city of Aqaba, temperatures are forecast to range between 17 degrees and 11 degrees.
