AMMAN— The
Telecommunications Regulatory
Commission (TRC) on Monday said that it is working to with telecom sector
stakeholders to provide 5G infrastructure for the future rollout of the service
in the Kingdom.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, chairman of the TRC board of
commissioners Ghazi Al-Jabour said that the regulator is currently working with
the authorities to provide these frequency bands.
The Cabinet, he noted, previously formed a committee to coordinate with
telecommunications companies in the Kingdom for the potential introduction of
5G technology, adding that telecom service providers are currently working on
5G infrastructure.
Jabuor said that 5G services offer higher internet speeds and capacities, and
that leveraging this technology drives economic growth by creating new jobs and
introducing businesses.
