AMMAN — The
Ministry of Public Works and Housing, through a local contracting company, has started the first phase of a project to rehabilitate and expand the Royal Road, starting with the vehicle licensing department, and within the
Tafileh Governorate Council’s allocations.

The Director of the Directorate of Works at Tafileh Omar Al-Harasis on Tuesday said that the first phase of the project to expand the road includes removing asphalt and reworking it, starting at the Al-Eis Comprehensive Health Center and passing through a hospital.
The road will be expanded by 5km, at a cost of JD500,000.
He added that the work of expanding, rehabilitating, and paving the road includes establishing shoulders for the road in some sections, working on its lighting, and covering it with traffic safety requirements, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
