Amman – The Scientific Association of Research Centres for Human Resource Development in the Arab Region, an offshoot of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC), convened its 11th annual conference at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).

The event centered on strategies for workforce readiness in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and aligning education with industry demands.
Key topics included bridging gaps between education and labor market needs, ethical and social implications of AI, and fostering a skilled workforce for emerging technologies. Discussions also tackled rehabilitation and skill enhancement to match future labor market requirements.
Abdullah Ababneh, Secretary-General of the Association, highlighted the urgent need for educational and training systems to adapt to the rapid technological revolution. He emphasized preparing future generations and upskilling the current workforce to meet evolving job market dynamics.
FASRC Secretary-General Abdel Majeed bin Amara underscored the centrality of technology in driving economic change and the role of innovation in production and services. He advocated for policies promoting equal technology access and curricula focusing on digital competencies such as AI and software.
PSUT President Wejdan Abu Elhaija reaffirmed the university’s commitment to developing human capital through advanced academic programs, preparing graduates for future labor market challenges.
The keynote address by Jihad Mohaidat, President of the National Center for Innovation, explored technology’s transformative role in human capital development.
The conference aims to address barriers in human resources development across Arab countries, offering policy recommendations to synchronize education outcomes with new market demands.
