AMMAN — A conference on primary healthcare
and well-being, organized by the
Jordan University of Science and Technology,
opened on Sunday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Rowaida Al-Maaitah, consultant for health and social
development, patronized the conference on behalf of HRH Princess Muna Al-Hussein.
With the participation of experts, the gathering
tackled primary care transformation, comprehensive health insurance, and health
service development for Jordanians.
The conference split into workshops, where lectures
were delivered on healthcare and promotion, and disease prevention.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a trilateral
cooperation agreement was signed between the organizer, the British University
of Huddersfield, and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network.
The agreement set the stage for developing research projects
in clinical practice, epidemiology, and public health, in addition to training
programs on antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases.
