The National Consumer Protection Society has announced its plan for Ramadan 2025, which includes monitoring the prices of essential and Ramadan-specific goods, addressing consumer complaints, and increasing awareness and guidance efforts.

In a statement on Sunday, Dr. Mohammad Obaidat, the head of the society, called for intensified market oversight ahead of the holy month to monitor the prices of goods typically needed by households during Ramadan. He emphasized that these prices should align with the purchasing power of citizens and reflect actual costs.
Dr. Obaidat noted that the society will conduct field visits to markets to track and monitor the prices of goods commonly used by consumers during Ramadan, ensuring their availability at reasonable prices and of high quality.
He also urged citizens to verify the expiration dates of products and be cautious of the accuracy of their weights to ensure the safety and quality of what they consume.
