It
also advised people to continue taking social distancing measures and to take
the necessary precautionary and preventive measures, according to Al Ghad News.
The
head of Consumer Protection, Muhammad Obeidat, said Wednesday that His Majesty
King Abdullah II pays great attention to this issue, and stresses the importance
of taking the vaccine and adhering to public health conditions to ensure the
stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the country, and to preserve
lives and accelerate recovery of the economic sector.
Obeidat
deplored some citizens’ reluctance and refusal to take the vaccine, which is
not a small percentage, despite confirmation from health care authorities that
the vaccines are safe and have no negative effects on people’s long term health
and safety. A large number of people who received the vaccine were not infected
with the virus, which contributed to the stability of the epidemiological curve
during the past weeks.
Obeidat
called on the government to tighten procedures those on who did not receive the
vaccine in order to reduce the number of infections, and to intensify penalties
for those who do not comply with the public health measures related to the
pandemic, as it is not over yet and it still poses a threat to people’s lives.
