AMMAN — The Amman Court on Sunday heard nine defense witnesses involved in the Salt Public Hospital case. The case involves an oxygen outage at the hospital that claimed the lives of 10 Jordanians earlier this year.

Following Sunday’s 38th session, the court has heard a total of 75 witnesses in the case, 66 from the prosecution and 9 from the defense.
In a previous session, the court informed the attorneys that defendants were allowed to have 11 defense witnesses combined, or one each.
The judicial body dealing with case held its public hearing chaired by Judge Udai Al-Frehat.
The court has so far heard from 66 witnesses, including former Health Minister
Nathier Obidat, officials, forensic doctors, and experts.
The trials of the accused in the case will carry on after investigations testimony from the prosecution’s witnesses has concluded, the defense lawyers have presented their evidence, and the prosecution has responded, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
