Passengers are not required to stay at the airport until the
Covid-19 test result appears, he added in an interview with "Petra" on Thursday.
Balbisi stressed the need to bring a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the scheduled departure.
With regard to attending parties and festivals, he indicated that the attendees should have received the two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, in addition to bringing a negative PCR test taken within the preceding 48 hours.
Balbisi also called on expatriates residing in the Kingdom to receive the two jabs, adding that the new procedures for unvaccinated expatriates that were earlier announced by the Ministry of Interior will be implemented on December 15.
Defense Order 35, which will be implemented at the beginning of 2022, prohibits entry of any citizen or expatriate to ministries, government departments or private sector establishments unless by receiving the two doses, according to Balbisi.
Calling on the public to receive the third dose due to its importance in raising immunity against Covid-19 and its strains, he stressed the need to comply with wearing face masks and observing preventive measures.
