AMMAN — The National Center for
Security and Crisis Management Sunday launches a drill with the participation
of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security services, various state
institutions, and the private sector, in cooperation with the
US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA),
Colorado National Guard (CONG) and the US Embassy in
Amman.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the exercise aims to check the
readiness and public safety in dealing with hazardous materials (chemical,
biological, and radioactive) in various locations across the Kingdom.
The exercise, dubbed "Jordan Shield", will run until Tuesday, featuring various events in the suburbs of Amman and the governorates of Irbid, Zarqa, and Aqaba.
