Crisis center : No change to entry procedures

AMMAN — Director of the Media Response Unit at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management Ahmed Al-Naimat has said the country’s health situation is stable, and that there is no need for concern, according to Jo24. However, he confirmed that the center is monitoring the increase in COVID-19 cases globally, especially in the Kingdom’s neighbors, adding that so far there is no change to procedures currently in force regarding entering the country. “It is possible to take some precautionary measures at the airport by re-installing thermal detectors, and if a passenger has a fever, we will ask that passenger to take a PCR test,” Naimat said. Jordanian citizens arriving in the country do not need to undergo a PCR test, according to Naimat, who added that foreigners fall into two categories; tourists coming to Jordan are not required to be tested, and a person transferring to another country through Jordan is subject to the procedures requested by the country he/she traveling to.
