AMMAN — Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar met with the US ambassador to Jordan, Henry T. Wooster, to discuss enhancing the cultural ties between the two countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Culture, on Friday, the meeting covered the cultural cooperation between the two countries and the intention of signing a memorandum of understanding on the matter to implement joint projects, exchange expertise, and participate in the cultural events which would take place in both countries.
Najjar shared that both countries are open to cultural diversity and stressed the importance of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Art in creating broader opportunities for cultural dialogue amongst the two countries.
The minister also highlighted the shared cultures between Jordan and the US, which are based on a humanitarian and cultural heritage emphasized by the continuous participation of both countries in events related to humanitarian action.
For his part, Wooster talked about the cultural ties between Jordan and the US and discussed ways to enhance them to achieve the desired cultural objectives.
