Najjar stressed the importance of building on the cultural relationship between
the two countries, which have many things in common.
She said that Jordan is a country open to all cultures, and advocates for love,
peace, and dialogue.
The minister noted that Jordan welcomes refugees from neighboring countries,
shares its resources with them, and guarantees their rights to education,
health, culture, and a decent life, just as it does for its citizens.
Jordan, Najjar added, welcomes cooperation with other countries to exchange
knowledge and expertise. She said that ministry is ready to draw up cooperation
programs with Belgium to benefit the cultural exchange of the two countries.
For his part, ambassador Bulk noted that the
Royal Film Commission and the
Ministry of Culture signed an agreement in July with the Flanders Department of Culture,
Youth, and Media, adding that his country is ready to build on this agreement
to include more cultural sectors as well as training.
