AMMAN — The Ministry of Culture will launch an interactive book fair on Thursday across the Kingdom in conjunction with Jordan's summer activities, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The book fair will kick off at seven in the evening today, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar, at the headquarters of the Arab Cultural Forum Zay in Balqa governorate, and will be held every Thursday until August 25th.
According to a ministry statement, the book fair is part of a vision to launch a national strategy to encourage reading, in partnership with the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation and the public and private sectors and civil society institutions, and within the National Reading Program implemented by the ministry.
It aims at providing a suitable environment to encourage reading and introducing the vocabulary of the Jordanian culture in its various forms to the public in an interactive manner, in line with contemporary transformations and the needs of the Jordanian community.
