Cybercrime Unit warns public of fake electronic links

AMMAN — The Cybercrime Unit, on Thursday, warned of fake electronic links having slogans of official institutions claiming to be the official government links issued for financial assistance, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The unit indicated that such links ask the victim to send a sum of money in order to complete the transaction and obtain support after receiving the personal information from the citizen or the resident.

The unit added that the fake electronic links were traced, and it was found out that they originated through servers outside the country, and the necessary measures were taken to halt them inside the Kingdom.

The unit urged people not to give out their information to any entity that is not official, stressing that electronic services provided by government bodies are now known to all.
