Daily cases of COVID-19 spike to 11,478 in Jordan

ِِِAMMAN — Jordan recorded 11,478 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 13,088 and the total number of cases to 1,152,526. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 5,993 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,595 cases. Irbid registered 1,212 cases, Balqa 963 cases, Karak recorded 256 cases, Jerash recorded 280 cases, and Tafileh recorded 18 cases. Madaba registered 298 cases, Aqaba 195, Ramtha 7, and Ajloun 226.

The ministry said in a statement that 107 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 158 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 49,357 according to the ministry. Out of 49,956 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 22.98 percent of them came back positive.
