Daily juvenile crimes averaged 4.74 in 2021

AMMAN — Juveniles committed a total of 1,705 criminal offenses and misdemeanors in Jordan in 2021, amounting to 142.08 crimes per month and an average of 4.74 crimes per day, Al-Ghad News reported.اضافة اعلان

In spite of a drop in overall crime statistics for this group – down 9.5 percent (178 crimes) from the previous year’s 1,883 total crimes – the number remains high, requiring the attention of relevant authorities towards this segment of society.

Over the past two years, juvenile attempted murders rose by 31.82 percent, while premeditated murders saw an unprecedented increase of 300 percent.
