AMMAN — The
Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the air depression currently affecting the Kingdom raised the volume of cumulative rain water in all governorates of the Kingdom, from the beginning of the season until Sunday morning, 32.7 percent over the annual average, according to Al-Ghad.

The ministry added that it takes between 24 and 48 hours for the torrents of water to reach the
dams, which, until this morning had received about 1.3 million cubic meters, bringing the total storage to about 90 million cubic meters, or 26.77 percent of the total capacity of 336.4 million cubic meters.
King Talal Dam received 1,660 million cubic meters.
Monitoring stations recorded the quantity of water as follows: Amman an average of 22.4mm, Balqa 32.4mm, Madaba 16,7mm, Zarqa 7,3mm, Jerash 18.8mm, Mafraq 6mm, Irbid 10.1mm, Ajloun 24.1mm, Karak 4mm, Tafileh 2, 2mm, Maan 1,3mm, and Aqaba 0,2mm.
The ministry urged citizens to refrain from dumping waste in streams and ensure that gutters are not connected to sewerage networks, and ensure that water meters and domestic water facilities are protected in the coming days.
