Traffic personnel and Civil Defense teams have dealt with a number of accidents over the past 24 hours, resulting in one death, 13 injuries, including serious and moderate cases, and material damage to vehicles, causing traffic disruptions at the sites.

Details shared by the officer in charge of the Central Traffic Management Room on Sunday indicated that a fatal accident occurred in the southern Mazar area, which also resulted in four injuries. The cause of the accident was attributed to improper handling of curves. Additionally, a vehicle overturned and collided at the Al-Haramain tunnel towards Mecca Street, resulting in three injuries, one of which was serious.
The officer from the External Patrol Operations Room reported that a truck overturned on the back road heading towards Amman, causing a moderate injury, and the victim was transported to Prince Hashem Hospital.
Another accident occurred on the Desert Road heading towards Aqaba, resulting in five injuries, one of which was serious. The injured were transferred to Ma'an Government Hospital.
The traffic authorities stated that the causes of these accidents were due to sudden lane changes and failure to observe basic road safety measures.
The traffic departments urged drivers to adhere to traffic rules and priorities, avoid dangerous violations to ensure smooth traffic flow, and maintain safety for themselves and other road users. They also emphasized the importance of calling the emergency number 911 when necessary.
