Aqaba – The Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) has approved the lease of a plot of land adjacent to one of the schools for the purpose of expanding it, in the Fifth Residential Area.

This decision is part of ASEZA's vision to encourage and empower the education sector and improve the educational environment in the Aqaba area.
Additionally, the Board agreed to enhance the Aqaba Waves Festival by adding a series of artistic events, as well as cultural activities organized by a number of cultural associations in Aqaba.
These activities will be incorporated into the festival's agenda for the current year. This decision aims to enrich the festival with artistic and cultural content, focusing on Jordanian cultural and heritage identity.
In the area of entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development, the Board approved a reduction in parking fees for glass-bottom boats and speedboats at the fishermen's dock for this year, and allowed the installment of payments due.
This move supports and empowers those working in this sector, helping to boost this local tourism product, ensuring its sustainability and continuity in Aqaba.
The Board also approved support for the Jordanian Union for Wushu Kung Fu to host the National Leader's Championship in Aqaba.
This aligns with the Authority's vision to support and empower youth, stimulate local sports tourism, and foster competitive sports spirit.
Moreover, the Board ratified a series of administrative measures to facilitate the digital transformation of the services provided, in addition to approving several administrative and organizational decisions for the Aqaba area.
