AMMAN —
Minister of
Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Al-Hanandeh announced on
Sunday that the electronic signature through the updated Sanad application will
be activated before the end of February, indicating that the priority is to
activate the digital identity to enable individuals to benefit from all the
services provided by Sanad, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

The minister issued
a modified version of Sanad application that includes new personal services,
not government services, according to Hanandeh who said that services that will
be available on the new application in 2022 are digital.
“In 2022, at least
400 of the most important government services that citizens require will be
gradually added according to plan being carried out by the ministry,” said
Hanandeh.
Hanandeh also said
that work is underway to add other services on Sanad during the first quarter
of this year, related to the Department of Lands and Surveys, Vehicles and
Drivers Licensing Department, the
Civil Status Department, and the Social
Security Corporation.
“Jordan follows the best
international standards in the protection of personal information and data,”
according said Hanandeh.
