Digital transformation will improve gov't performance, officials say

AMMAN — During the Tawasul Forum launched by the Crown Prince Foundation on Saturday, officials from both the public and private sectors in Jordan highlighted the significance of digital transformation for improving government performance quality and management amidst present-day challenges. Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Modernization of the Public Sector Nasser Shraideh emphasized the "distinguished role" the public sector has played over the years, particularly in the last two decades, amid challenging times, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Modernizing the public sectorShraideh also stressed the importance of modernizing the public sector to support the private sector by digitizing all government services by 2025, and honing the digital skills of employees and top officials to create a digital transformation environment. Shteiwi acknowledged that despite the benefits of technology, citizens still harbor concerns about using it, and more needs to be done to address these fears.
