AMMAN — The government is currently working on finalizing
and reviewing the digitization strategy, following consultations with the
private sector, according to a governmental source informed on the matter.

The source, who preferred not to be named, said that the
Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship will submit the national
strategy to the Cabinet for final approval within the next two weeks.
The strategy encompasses all matters governing Jordan’s
digitization programs and projects, ensuring the best standards of
implementation in a timely manner.
The digitization process seeks to enhance the government’s
e-services, improve the efficiency of government performance, and keep pace
with global advancements in this regard.
The strategy identifies the mandates of the various entities
involved in its implementation, where the Council of Ministers would be
responsible for identifying the national priorities of digitization, securing
necessary funding, and holding entities accountable for shortfall in carrying
out their mandates.
