AMMAN — Mercury levels on Thursday are expected to dip a few degrees below their annual average and bring moderate weather to the highlands and the plains and relatively hot temperatures to the Kingdom’s other regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Winds will be moderate to brisk, creating dusty conditions at times in the Badia region. Over the next three days, similar weather conditions will continue to persist, the JMD added.
The weather on Friday and Saturday will remain moderate in the highlands and the plains, while relatively hot in the Kingdom’s other regions with the appearance of some clouds at low altitudes in the north.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom Thursday will range between 24°C and 27°C, dropping at night to 15°C or even 11°C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 36°C and a low of 23°C.
