AMMAN — A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Monday,
but it will remain 5-6°C above average, bringing relatively hot weather in the
highlands and the plains, and hot conditions in other parts of the
Kingdom, the
Jordan Meteorological Department (
JMD) said in its daily brief.

Clouds at various altitudes are forecast to appear with a
chance of scattered showers in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD added.
On Tuesday, a further dip in mercury levels is expected, so
it will be relatively hot in much areas of the country, except in the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will hot, with clouds at medium and
high altitudes and a chance of spotty showers in eastern and southern regions,
the JMD added, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
No significant change in the weather is forecast on
Wednesday, the JMD predicted.
The highs in
Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom
will range between 29°C and 33°C on Monday, dropping at night to 19°C
or even 16°C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be hotter with mercury
reaching a high of 41°C a low of 25°C.
