Drug-smuggling drone shot down on Syrian border - JAF

AMMAN — Eastern Military Zone troops shot down a drug-smuggling drone from Syria on Monday, the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) said. The drone was found to have carried 2kg of a crystalline drug, which was sent to the competent authorities, Jordan News Agency, Petra reported. "Border Guard forces, in coordination with the military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department, tracked a drone trying to illegally cross the border from Syria into Jordan, and it was shot down inside Jordanian territory," said an official military source at the JAF General Command.
