Expert and strategic and economic analyst engineer Mohannad Abbas Haddadin presented through his participation in the seminar held by the opinion Center for studies at the newspaper headquarters last Thursday to analyze and read the speech of His Majesty The King in Parliament 20 of its political and economic dimensions, where Haddadin spoke with an introduction in which he explained that the economy cannot be separated from politics, Jordan's geostrategic location within a region of continents and a zone of global political and economic conflict, and we estimated that we are in this region, but what gives optimism to Jordan is that the Jordanian state has been steadfast for a hundred years and still, and our main Compass is His Majesty the King referred to Palestine in his speech and tried to remove any ideas that confuse the issue of Palestine, Jordan the only state that has adopted the Palestinian cause in word and deed, and this has been proved by recent events of assistance, subsidies and distinguished diplomacy, all of which are political achievements to be reckoned with Jordan and what it has done.
Speaking about the economic side, Haddin said that we are now facing two major wars in the world, and these wars are Economic, the Russian-Ukrainian war that began after the corona pandemic, which exhausted the world economy, and there are disputes between the poles to prevent certain riches from heading to Europe through Russia.
As for the Gaza war, there was a jump from the Palestinian issue, as they tried to turn to the economic side and make economic solutions in the region at the expense of the Palestinian issue, all this harmed the global and regional interest, including the Palestinian issue, which prompted the move, and the things, pressures and actions carried out by Israel from a far-right government that conformed with the policy of the world economy, where there were global economic strategic plans, including gas wars, an alternative to the Suez Canal, and technology transfer to Israel, all targeted the region where we live, especially Israel, to be the focus of the World Economic world, but this did not materialize and failed on the seventh of October, because he was jumping about the Palestinian issue, therefore, this war was an economic war, and an indication that the only reason the Democrats failed to get elected was the economy, these wars did not help the US economy.
The world economy is suffering from a difficult hardship, and there is an accumulation of a global debt of 315 trillion, the US debt is 36 trillion dollars, and these wars were reflected on Jordan and affected significantly.
The indebtedness in Jordan has reached 43.7 billion dollars and constitutes 116% of the gross product, and the growth rate is beginning to be affected, despite all this, Jordan has created real opportunities from these challenges, and its economy has not been shaken, as a result of prudent monetary policy, we have cash reserves of 20.3 billion hard currencies, and self-sufficiency in theory is enough for us for a year and more, and our global credit rating is better than many countries and has not been shaken.
He adds that we now need internal arrangements, through the economic modernization system, and we started with the political system and produced the 20th parliament, and we hope to move in the right direction, and this system must be closely linked to the economic modernization system because if we do not succeed with the economy, we will not succeed with the next parliaments.
We have problems mentioned by His Majesty the King, namely unemployment, which stands at 21% among young people, and we have poverty, if the citizen does not feel and does not feel economic improvement, he will not turn to political work, his priorities will be to secure a living and a job, Haddin shows that the success of the economy will be reflected positively on the political system, and there will remain an obstacle to economic modernization if we do not address the imbalance.
The current government has started in the right direction, from trying to restore citizens ' confidence in governments, the president took to the street to touch the citizen's needs and problems, because not taking to the street puts officials in the position of making his strategy on paper to be unworkable because he did not touch the situation of the citizen and did not touch what he is suffering.
This has two benefits, the first is the citizen's confidence returns to the next governments, and the second may be a hindrance to the application of policies and strategies that he touches and reflects on these strategies and achieve success and progress.
Haddadin points out that we have a growth rate due to geopolitical influences reached 2.4% this year and next year is expected to be 2.5%, and His Majesty The King asked that the growth rate be achieved with the vision of economic modernization, which is expected to reach 5%, and can be achieved by several points the government is working on as follows:

1-To have an information bank that we can get information in the economic field from all governorates and ministries to implement policies, studies, plans and projects to be based on in the future to address mistakes and maximize the positives, this information, regardless of whether it is negative or positive, we must get and keep it because we are doing a collective and governmental performance and not the performance of ministries, we do not want the minister to enter and illuminate the positive aspects and leave the negative, negativity if processed in its small parts contributes to the achievement of plans and major projects successfully.

2-Investment, because the stage is complex and there is no funding for strategic projects, we must work investment projects focused on ensuring sustainability of energy, water, etc., and think of another way to invest, encourage local and Arab investors and do small projects and support these projects and grow by marketing them, we have electronic platforms and benefit from marketing products abroad.
Now the equation has changed, we have an imbalance in the balance of exports and imports, we hope that economic modernization will be addressed, so that we encourage exports more and provide more incentives, in addition to marketing and entering new markets such as the European market and to know their requirements, specifications and standards that they want in order to increase the export process with goods that were not exported abroad.
3-Addressing the tax imbalance, we are still addressing the main structure with certain mechanisms to achieve real growth to support companies that can export, we do not want service investment, we want a permanent industrial and agricultural investment that adds to the national economy, the total output is 50 billion dollars, we hope to raise it by the end of the vision of economic modernization, if we support national industries on the one hand and reduce the gaps between exports and imports so that we can make.
Haddadin offers what was stated in the King's speech in terms of investment to benefit from our relations, and the king is trying to create an environment for investment in Jordan, economists and the private sector as a major support in this direction.

Haddadin, for example, cites the Gulf sovereign funds, worth 15 trillion dollars, so in order to want to invest, we must form an economic committee that works with the Ministry of foreign affairs and follows up on the visits of His Majesty The King, and this committee supports and provides opportunities for Jordan and bridges between the government and investors abroad and inside to do projects inside Jordan, and this may help investment.
As for tourism, it is one of the main engines of production.this year, as a result of the prevailing conditions in Gaza, foreign tourism has declined, but internal and Gulf Tourism has increased, and it is possible to make Conference and therapeutic tourism to Jordan, and he called for focusing on tourist media content to highlight Jordan's image abroad by making digital platforms that highlight tourist places, especially religious ones, to attract religious tourism from the Christian pilgrimage, and we work and document the platforms with websites linking history to the event and raise the level of tourism in approved ways.
In addition to all this, the King touched upon the youth, the new generation to keep pace with technological developments, and since we are unhappy in the last quarter of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and we will enter the Fifth Industrial Revolution with artificial intelligence, the outputs of education must be reviewed, these outputs must be adapted to the market, if we do not prepare ourselves for the market, we will miss the technology train, and there must be a link, for these outputs with new technology, there are new jobs created with the entry of technology and artificial intelligence, the University graduate must be qualified and the university institutions and training centers should be oriented towards technological progress.
Haddadin recalls that the US gross product is 50% dependent on technology companies, China is 60% and Hong Kong is 70%, if we can get the right qualification at universities and the right construction, we can enter the labor market.

Haddin suggested that this government should be distinguished from previous governments by not closing in on itself, but should open up to experts in Jordan from economists, we have competencies at home and abroad who can submit projects and ideas appropriate to external realities and form a committee to oversee economic modernization from the private sector in addition to the public sector to maximize the positive outputs and put the negative outputs of immature plans on the side and replace them with quick alternatives that match the changes because there are new global changes and must think outside the box and be responsible to the extent of responsibility. We hope that Jordan will advance economic growth, achieve more jobs and reduce poverty rates, as His Majesty the King wanted .
