AMMAN — Director-General of the
Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Muhaidat said that several e-stores
were referred to the judiciary after marketing cosmetics without a license,
according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Through oversight, it was discovered that the
production dates of certain cosmetics had been tampered with, and that others
were imitations, Muhaidat said. “Therefore, it was necessary to establish
stricter monitoring procedures and halt any attempts to tamper with such
products,” he said.
Some cosmetics were also found to be marketed without
registration or approval from the JFDA, according to Muhaidat, who added that
the administration seized the materials and destroyed them.
“All virtual advertisements have been monitored, and
some e-stores were referred to the judiciary since they were marketing without
licenses”, among other offenses, he said.
