The council is in the final stages of a study evaluating the
institutions, Shteiwi told Al-Mamlaka TV on Monday.
Legal, financial, and
human resources specialists, and
experts from all nine sectors covered by the study are working to prepare it,
he said.
The study aims to assess the statuses of these institutions
and the challenges they face, providing solutions that may take the form of
developing, merging, abolishing, or retaining those institutions.
Informed government decisionsIn light of the results of the study, the government will
work to cancel, merge, or restructure the institutions, Deputy Prime Minister
for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernization
Nasser Shraideh told Al-Mamlaka last month.
Shraideh had stated that all service institutions would be
included in the study, and that the government would announce decisions
regarding the recommendations in April.
Administrative modernization will not
impact the functioning of public sector teams, including those working for independent bodies, he
stressed.
