The "Media and Communication Campaign" is funded
by the US Agency for International Development's (USAID) Technical Assistance
Program. It seeks to introduce the program in the Kingdom, highlight its
importance to people, motivate its cadres, and draw students' attention by
supporting their parents and teachers.
During the launching ceremony at Ein Jalout Secondary School, Ajarmeh affirmed
the importance of the program, saying it will help ease the negative
repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education system.
Studies conducted by the ministry and global entities have shown educational
gaps among students moving from one class to another, particularly in early
grades, he stated.
He said the program, which focuses on Arabic and English languages,
mathematics, and sciences might continue for several years. He noted that it
will compliment, and be part of the curricula.
Juma Al-Saud, head of the Supervision Department at Ministry of Education, said
the program was designed based on studies on fourth to 11th-graders.
