Energy Ministry stresses importance of attracting more investments

AMMAN - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stressed the importance of attracting Arab and foreign investments in the energy sector.

The ministry, in a formal letter, it didn't ignore Kuwaiti investor Mishaal Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah's request to set a date for a visit by a delegation of international European companies participating in the financing and implementation of the Ma'an Refinery project.اضافة اعلان

The ministry has asked the Kuwaiti investor to provide it with requirements and documents supporting the procedures so that its stakeholders could study them accordingly, and then set a date for the meeting, according to the letter.

Establishing an oil refinery in Ma'an and a petrochemical complex is still in the stage of preparing the designs of the project and economic feasibility study, the letter said.

In previous statements, the ministry denied existence of any approval to establish a new oil refinery in the Kingdom.
