Energy ministry calls on electric car owners

AMMAN — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh confirmed that electricity prices under the new tariff are good, according to a local news outlet.اضافة اعلان

Kharabsheh denied on Saturday the ministry’s directive to compel electric vehicle owners to install another meter, in addition to the meter they have at home.

Kharabsheh called on electric vehicles owners to install another meter, especially for those whose consumption is less than 600 watts per hour, to avoid reaching the upper segment which pays more money.

The minister said that installing a separate meter for the electric vehicle will contribute to reducing the tariff by JD0.08.
