AMMAN —
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman
Safadi agreed with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra on Saturday to
expedite the signing a number of agreements to increase cooperation between the
two countries.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra,
the agreements include cooperation in the medical sector, economic and
investment opportunities, and exempting diplomats from entry visas, the Foreign
Ministry said in a statement.
The ministers also discussed preparations for
holding the ninth session of the joint Jordanian-Algerian Higher Committee in
Amman this year.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of
the Doha Forum, Safadi and Lamamra reaffirmed the keen interest in further
enhancing the “brotherly” relations between the two countries, and also
discussed a number of Arab and international issues.
