The two ministers discussed the proposal put forward by US President Joe Biden to reach an exchange deal that would produce a permanent ceasefire and allow sufficient humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip and distribute it throughout the Strip. The two ministers emphasized the need to deal with the proposal seriously and positively.
Safadi emphasized Jordan's support for the efforts undertaken by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States of America to reach an exchange deal.
Safadi also emphasized the need to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, open all crossings for the entry of aid, withdraw the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, and launch a reconstruction process within the framework of a comprehensive plan to implement the two-state solution according to specific timelines and binding implementation guarantees as the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace.
Safadi and Cameron discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them, and they underlined the continuation of work to find broader horizons for cooperation in various fields.
