AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and
Expatriates,
Ayman Safadi, on Sunday conveyed His Majesty
King Abdullah II's
greetings and intent to strengthen Jordanian-Kuwaiti brotherly relations to the
Emir of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Deputy Emir and
Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the
Kuwait Crown
Prince Sheikh Mishaal received Safadi prior to a consultative meeting of Arab
foreign ministers hosted by Kuwait. He
expressed “pride in the distinguished strategic relations” between Jordan and
Kuwait, and delivered the Kuwaiti emir's greetings to His Majesty.
On Saturday evening, Safadi held talks with Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs
and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh
Ahmed Nasser Al-MohammedAl-Sabah, on expanding bilateral cooperation, as well as Arab and regional
issues of joint concern. The meeting
also reviewed preparations for the joint higher committee meeting to be held in
Kuwait this year.
Safadi and Sheikh Ahmed also discussed ways to increase economic and investment
cooperation in the education, food security, and defense areas. They stressed the importance of the
consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, convening “at this delicate
point” to coordinate efforts towards addressing the various challenges
confronting the region.
