FM discusses, with his Emirati counterpart, the regional developments

Amman — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi Wednesday discussed with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to develop cooperation in various fields to reflect the historical strategic ties.اضافة اعلان

Safadi and Sheikh Al Nahyan underlined the common interest to broaden cooperation in the economic, investment, tourism, cultural, and defense fields and taking the practical steps to achieve this goal.

The two ministers reviewed the outcomes of a meeting that brought together His Majesty King Abdullah II and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, last May in Amman, to strengthen bilateral relations.

The two ministers also highlighted the coordination on regional issues and efforts to overcome common challenges and resolve crises to achieve regional security and stability and serve Arab causes and interests.

Safadi lauded the “distinguished relations” with the United Arab Emirates, hailing the UAE’s responsible positions and standing by the Kingdom, besides providing ongoing support for the Kingdom’s efforts to overcome economic challenges.

The minister also congratulated Sheikh Al Nahyan on the success of “Expo 2020 Dubai,” which coincides with the country’s golden jubilee celebrations of its founding and the historical achievements made over the years.

Sheikh Al Nahyan voiced pride in the robust relations between the two countries and their leaders, commending Jordan’s key role in promoting joint Arab action and achieving security and stability.
