AMMAN —
Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, met Wednesday with
Arab ministers on the sidelines of the foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting
for the
Arab League’s Summit in Jeddah.

The meetings dealt with bilateral ties, regional
developments, pan-Arabism, and issues on the agenda of the 32nd Arab Summit.
Safadi participated in the meeting of the
open-ended Arab ministerial committee to support Palestinians, which is chaired by Algeria and comprises of Jordan,
Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Mauritania.
Safadi, the Iraqi and
Egyptian foreign ministers held a meeting as part of the
tripartite cooperation mechanism, which discussed preparations for the upcoming
summit meeting in Cairo this year.
Separately, Safadi, the Saudi, Iraqi, Lebanese, and Egyptian foreign ministers
discussed actions for direct engagement with the Syrian government to reach a
political solution to the Syrian crisis and address all its consequences.
