AMMAN — Mercury levels on Thursday are expected be around their
annual average, so moderate weather will prevail in the highlands and the
plains, while it will be hot in other areas of the country, according to the
Jordan Meteorological Department (
JMD).

On Friday, temperatures will dip a few degrees, bringing relatively hot weather to the Kingdom, except in the hilly
areas and the plains where it will be fair, the JMD added.
On Saturday, mercury will rise again, bringing hot
conditions in most regions, while it will remain moderate in the mountains and
the plains.
The highs in
Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom
today will range between 28°C and 31°C, dropping at night to 16°C or
even 12°C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much
hotter with mercury reaching a high of 41°C and a low of 24°C.
