AMMAN — Five families who lost their homes when a building in the
Lweibdeh
neighborhood of
Amman collapsed last September received new homes on Thursday,
as donations from His Majesty King Abdullah.

Following the incident, which left
14 dead and nine injured, His Majesty gave
instructions to the government to fully care for the impacted families and to
purchase new homes for them at his own expense, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.
Royal
Court Chief
Youssef Issawi handed the title deeds to the new homes to the
families as he welcomed them at the Royal Court.
Issawi,
who is also chairman of a committee tasked with following up on Royal
initiatives, visited one of the families in their new fully-furnished home.
