workers and social security, said Ibrahim Al-Sharif, president of the Jordan
Farmers Association, Jo24 reported on Tuesday.

Sharif had been calling on the government to exclude
foreign workers from Jordan’s social security protections, given the high cost
to Jordanian farm owners and investors. Lawmaker
Mohammad Al-Alaqmeh, head of
the Lower House agriculture committee, informed him that these demands have
been rejected.
The association will be studying its next move in response
to the rejection of its demands, Sharif said.
