During a meeting today with stakeholders in Madaba Governorate, Al-Fayez noted that Jordan, since its founding by the late King Abdullah I, has faced major challenges due to its geopolitical location, yet has always overcome them with the wisdom of its Hashemite leadership, the awareness of its people, the strength of its armed forces and security agencies, and the stability of its constitutional institutions.

He added that Jordan’s national identity is deeply rooted and indivisible, enabling the country to host waves of Palestinian refugees since 1948. All those who contributed to building the Jordanian state have become part of a united national fabric that all Jordanians are proud of.

The meeting, attended by the Senate’s Assistant Speaker, committee heads, MPs from the governorate, and mayors, was part of the Senate’s efforts to strengthen communication with communities across the country and foster national dialogue on current challenges.

During the discussion, Al-Fayez raised questions about national priorities amid global and regional developments, including U.S. foreign policy, the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, and especially the Israeli aggression on Gaza and reoccupation of the territory, along with shifting regional and global power dynamics.

He emphasized the need for Jordanians across the political and social spectrum to be more aware and responsible in responding to these developments, drawing upon Jordan’s long-standing national legacy of maintaining stability and security.

Al-Fayez underlined the importance of moving beyond skepticism, promoting responsible national dialogue, and rejecting hate speech, extremism, and indifference. He stressed that national security and stability are a collective responsibility requiring strong national unity and a cohesive domestic front.

He also highlighted the need to always prioritize Jordan’s interests, economic and geopolitical security in all political stances, whether domestic or international. He called for collective resistance against any attempts to undermine state institutions or target the armed forces and security services, which he described as the “nation’s shield and stronghold.”

Al-Fayez warned that Jordan’s stability continues to be targeted, despite the regional turmoil. He cautioned against misinformation campaigns and online disinformation spread by electronic bots, as well as individuals with personal agendas who aim to weaken the internal front.

He sent a stern message to those he described as “infiltrators and agitators,” affirming that the Jordanian people, in all their diversity, stand united behind His Majesty the King, the Arab Army, and the security services, ready to defend them with their lives.

In conclusion, Al-Fayez stated he is not worried about Jordan’s future, despite the challenges and geopolitical shifts. He expressed confidence in King Abdullah II’s wisdom, international stature, and the Hashemite leadership’s role in safeguarding Jordan’s interests and core values, stressing that any attempts to destabilize the Kingdom will fail in the face of the Jordanian people's unwavering will.
