The SSC announced the amendments to be made to the law,
including the articles relating to early retirement, which will not include
those whose service exceeded 10 years. Early retirement age will be raised to
55 for men and 52 for women.
Majali said that the amendments cancel early retirement for
those whose contributions as of January 1, 2025 were less than 36.
The proposed amendments are related to early retirement,
allowing private sector establishments to include workers under the age of 30 in
old-age insurance, and adjusting the annual inflation increase to be calculated
according to the average rate of inflation and the growth rate.
The amendments also include the allocation of
the natural death pension to the heirs of the eligible insured person, provided
that they have prior social security contributions for a period of at least 96
active contributions instead of 120 as in the current law and has not ceased to
have more than 60 months at the time of death.
