AMMAN — First commercial flight from
Abu Dhabi
for the low-cost airline Wizz Air will land Thursday at the King Hussein
International Airport, initiating regular flights between Aqaba and Abu Dhabi,
according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Chairman Nidal Al-Majali said that Wizz Air’s Aqaba–Abu Dhabi route will have
two flights per week.
He confirmed that the service
will entice a large number of
Jordanians based in the UAE to use the low-cost flights
to visit Jordan on a regular basis and to spend the weekend in the Kingdom. It is also an opportunity for Emiratis to enjoy what
Aqaba has to offer.
Majali said that the route confirms
the confidence of global airlines in Aqaba's location and as a tourist
attraction at a time when the
Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority is working
to attract new low-cost airlines to boost tourism figures.
