The 550 female participants from all governorates of
the Kingdom were selected from the families of military retirees, activists in
community service, beneficiaries of charitable and cooperative societies, civil
society institutions, and a number of young volunteers.
The mission will be divided into four groups. The
first and second groups of the mission will be from the governorates of Amman,
Irbid, Balqa, Mafraq, Tafileh, Maan, and Aqaba.
The third and fourth groups will depart in the
middle of the month from the governorates of Karak, Madaba, Jerash, Zarqa, and
Ajloun. Her Majesty will accompany one of the groups.
Queen Rania sent a video message to the participants
in the umra missions, saying, “I wish you a
Ramadan full of blessings. I’m
recording this message because I was not able to be with each one of you to
perform umra, and I’m very grateful for your prayers and kind words.”
She added, “I entrust you to God, and hopefully it will be
easy for you to perform umra and return under His care.”
