The weather is expected to be foggy and cold in most areas,
partially to mostly cloudy, with occasional rainfall in the north, central, and
limited parts of the eastern regions. Rainfall might be heavy at times in the
morning in the north and central areas.
According to the
Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the
chance of rain will gradually diminish in the afternoon. Westerly winds,
occasionally moderate, will prevail in eastern Jordan. The night will remain
foggy and cold overall, with some
low-level clouds.
On Monday, a temperature rise is expected, with relatively
cold conditions in most areas and mild temperatures in the
Jordan Valley, the
Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low-level clouds may appear, and the winds will be
southeast, moderate in speed.
On Tuesday, a slight temperature rise will occur, and the
weather will be sunny and relatively cold in most areas, with moderate
temperatures in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The winds will be
southeast, occasionally moderate.
Jordan Valley Authority declared a state of medium-level
emergency, warning of potential flash floods, especially in the northern
regions, due to the influence of a low-pressure system that may cause river
flooding and an increase in water levels in water bodies. The authority also
urged citizens, farmers, and livestock breeders to take necessary precautions
to protect property and lives, monitor weather developments, and stay away from
water accumulation areas, riverbeds, and floods.
The General Directorate of Public Security also mentioned
the closure of the Abu Sayhah Bridge in the capital due to sewer maintenance
works and noted dusty winds on the roads in the southern region, with all roads
open. Furthermore, the External Patrols Directorate stated that all external
roads are open except for the Azraq road, which is passable with caution due to
dust stirring occasionally, affecting visibility.
