Food in Jordan 100% safe — JFDA

AMMAN — Food and foodstuffs in the Kingdom are “100 percent safe” for consumption, Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Mheidat said on Monday, attributing the fact to the intensive efforts of the administration’s inspection teams.اضافة اعلان

“The purpose of JFDA labs is to ensure the safety of foodstuffs in Jordan and its compliance with approved standards through rigorous testing,” Mheidat said.         

Mheidat’s Monday remarks were made on World Food Safety Day, celebrated on June 7, every year to attract attention to the need for cooperation in enhancing food safety and preventing the risks associated with the absence of such efforts.
